Ingredients
- 200g edamame in pods
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Preparation
- 1
Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for about 4–5 minutes until they are tender but still bright green.
- 2
Drain the edamame and optionally rinse briefly with cool water to stop further cooking. Shake off excess water.
- 3
While still warm, transfer the edamame to a mixing bowl.
- 4
Drizzle with sesame oil and toss well so the pods are lightly coated.
- 5
Sprinkle chili powder and sea salt evenly over the edamame, then toss again to distribute the seasoning.
- 6
Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and mix one final time so the flavors coat the pods evenly.
- 7
Serve warm or at room temperature, squeezing the pods with your teeth to enjoy the beans inside.
